Woman Stabs 2, Killing One, in Times Square and Is Shot Dead by N.Y.P.D.

The police fired at the woman, who was holding two knives, after trying to use less lethal force, officials said. A woman, 32, was killed, and a man, 68, is in stable condition.The episode unfolded just before 4:30 p.m. on Monday in Times Square.
