Yale Seeks Trump Administration Deal in Inquiry Over Race and Admissions

The university hired a high-powered law firm to try to reach an agreement with the Justice Department over claims its admissions practices hurt white and Asian applicants.While a deal could alleviate federal pressure on Yale, it could create problems closer to campus. Schools that have cut deals with the Trump administration have faced a backlash from students, faculty and alumni.
