House Adopts Bill to Ease Recovery by Heirs of Nazi Looted Art

The Senate had already passed an extension of the so-called HEAR Act, which is scheduled to expire at the end of the year. The bill now heads to President Trump’s desk.The bill would extend what is known as the Holocaust Expropriated Art Recovery Act of 2016, which was designed to address cases where museums had blocked claims by invoking the statute of limitations.
