New York Archdiocese Close to Settling Sexual Abuse Claims for Over $800 Million

The Roman Catholic archdiocese might now avoid bankruptcy by reaching a settlement with 1,300 people who said they had been abused by clergy members and lay leaders.St. Patrick’s Cathedral in Midtown Manhattan.
